Systems installed using Cat6 components give significantly more bandwidth than previous cabling technologies. This will enable 1000BaseT to be delivered with increased headroom between the standards criteria and the cabling systems capabilities.
The shielded version of Cat6 will also be able to deliver the proposed new 10GbaseT technology – 10 Gigabit Ethernet – to the desk!
