category 5e
The standard system for structured cabling is now Cat5e. This is the enhanced version of the original Cat5 standard, and is capable of delivering bandwidths up to 1000BaseT Gigabit Ethernet.
(Gigabit Ethernet requires the full channel to be Cat5e, including the patch leads at the cabinet end and the fly leads at the desk end).
